My First Shape Book

Thanks to
Bug Junkie and her awesome video series, I was able to make my very first shape book. I'm so excited about how it turned out, and it wasn't as difficult as I anticipated. It's for my best friend's daughter who just had her first baby.

I mostly used the Old West Cricut cart and the background papers are all from The Twinkle, Twinkle Little Boy stack from My Mind's Eye.
The lettering here is from the Mickey and Friends Font cartridge. The announcement is a stamp from Stampendous, I think.
I had a hard time with this page because of the shapes from the back of the cart. It's not my favorite, but I think I did ok. I covered the rope part of the frame with UTEE.
The horse if from Animal Kingdom and I covered him with Caramel Latte Tan Fun Flock. The chicken is from Everyday Paper Dolls and I used markers on her. The stamp is from My Sentiments Exactly.
I cut the Longhorn out in white then sponged some spots on with SU Dusty Durango ink. Then I added some white Fun Flock and of course, googly eyes. He's my favorite!
The pics aren't in order, sorry. Here's another page I didn't quite know what to do with. Later I wished I had added a pocket for a journaling tag. The pig and barn are from EDPD and the tree from Serenade. The stamp is from My sentiments Exactly.

I forgot to mention it was also the first time using my Bind It All, which I was most nervous about. I followed the directions carefully, though, and it came out perfectly!

Well, that's it. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Easy Graduation Card

We just received my husband's neice's graduation announcement, so I had to make her a card. I used her school's colors and kept the design simple.

Congrats is from Beyond Birthdays, cut in regular and shadow at 41/2". The cap is from Locker Talk and cut at 11/2". I used a Martha Stewart orange glitter marker on the tassle and a big glitter brad from OTC for the button on the cap. I also outlined the cap with a blue MS glitter marker. The background paper is from the It's My Party stack from My Mind's Eye. I finished it off by adding some stickles to the star.

On the inside I made a pocket (for tucking some cash in) with the same papers. I love the little poem by Dr. Suess, which is a stamp from Taylored Expressions, The Places You'll G0 set. The main sentiment is computer generated, printed on white cardstock which I inked with SU Only Orange ink.
Thanks for stopping by,
Maria
