Birthday Blog Candy

Today is my birthday and this year I gave myself a present, a makeover for my blog! So, what do you think? I love it! Chris from chatterscene did it for me and she did a wonderful job. If you're considering making over your blog design, I highly recommend her. The communication was great, she's fast, and her prices are unbelievably low. Check out  Renee's blog for another great example of Chris' work. It's where I first found out about it.
To celebrate my birthday and the makeover, I'm giving away some awesome blog candy.
Everything you see here is up for grabs. It includes: One Sew Easy Piercing Mat, One Sew Easy Tool, Three Sew Easy piercers, One Sew Easy yellow floss, One 8 X 8 Crafty Stack by DCWV and one Cricut Lite Cupcake Wrappers cartridge.
How do you enter to win, you ask? Simple, just leave a comment on this post. I'll let it run through the weekend then draw a winner on Monday, October 3rd. Please also leave me a way to contact you.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

Cricut Circle Blog Weekly Challenge #41: Interactive Elements Challenge!

This week's challenge is to make an interactive card. I decided to do a fun Halloween spinner card.
You can find directions for these on the internet, just Google "spinner card". There are lots of tutorials and You Tube videos out there that make these very easy to construct. The background paper on my card is Cosmo Cricket, Matilda. The glitter paper is DCWV. All the images are from the Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge except the tombstone, which is from Wrap it Up. The stamped sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Happy Haunting Set.
Lots of fun, hope you give it a try!

Circle Blog Weekly Challenge #40

This week's challenge on the Cricut Circle blog was a sketch challenge that we were also supposed to use glitter or some kind of bling on. It's been a while since I've participated in one of the challenges, so I thought I'd give this one a try. Here's the sketch:

 And here's my card:
As you can see, I didn't get too creative in my interpretation of the sketch, just pretty much followed it as is. Except the pumpkins are a little on the large size. I used the new Sophie cartridge (this quarter's circle cartridge) for the pumpkins and they are cut from a DCWV orange glitter paper and adhered to the card with pop dots. The other papers are also from DCWV, Amber Autumn collection. The stamp wasn't in it's original packaging, so I don't know who made it but it is stamped with SU Close to Cocoa ink. I also added some machine stitching around  the edges.
I hadn't done any crafting for a few weeks before I made this card, so it was a good jump start for me. This hot weather we've had here this summer has really drained me but I'm looking forward to creating some fall projects and getting out of this slump I've been in.
Thanks for stopping by!
