While we were on vacation last week we were lucky enough to have a very sweet young lady come to our house to take care of the dogs for us. It was a relief not to have to worry about boarding them somewhere as they are very spoiled little girls and I know they would have been miserable! Anyway, I made this note card set with the purse as a thank you. The purse was made with Forever Young and was designed on the Gypsy. The 12X24 mat was used in order to get it as big as possible. The white border was made with an MS embossing edge punch. The patterned paper is DCWV, the Glitter Stack, the purple is Bazzill, and the button is Recollections. Small craft magnets were used on the flap.
The note cards are 41/2 X 35/8. That was the largest they could be and still fit in the purse. The sock monkey is cut from the Sugar and Spice Lite cart at 3". The background papers were embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle folder. I like how it matched the pattern on the purse paper. The window for the sentiments were made with the SU Word Window Punch. The sentiments are from Hero Arts, Everyday Sayings Clear Stamp Set. The eyelets were set with the Cropadile Big Bite. Still need some practice with that thing! Matching envelopes were also made (but not photographed) using Plantin School Book and the Gypsy. I was able to size them just right for the cards and cut two from a 12 X 12 sheet of paper.
Thanks for stopping by!
