My good friend Ginger is celebrating her birthday today. We met when she started dating Tim's best friend in high school a few months after Tim and I started dating. Fortunately, we liked each other from the start and coincidentally our birthdays are just one day apart. [That means my birthday is tomorrow, in case you didn't catch that!;) ] As fate would have it we all ended up here in TX together and have celebrated our birthdays together every year for the past 20 years. No matter what's going on in each others lives, it's the one thing we always make time to do and I look forward to it every year.
I found the sentiment on line and the tree image immediately came to mind. The tree came from Wall Decor and More and the label from Lacy Labels. The background is from the DCWV Amber Autumn stack and the red and brown are from the coordinating solid stack. The off white square is from MS and actually has a pretty shimmer to it that doesn't show in the picture. I didn't think it looked feminine enough, so I added some small adhesive beads from Recollections and a bow with ribbon by Offray. I am so happy with this card, one of the few that actually turned out almost exactly as I pictured.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #43
This is my first time to participate in the Cricut Cardz challenge. This week's challenge was to create a new baby card using any cartridge and the colors green, orange, yellow and white only. This was a lot harder than I thought it would be but this is what I came up with.
The background paper was my jumping off point and I found it in a stack that I had forgotten about. The bunny cut is from Celebrate with Flourish. The tag was made with a beaded oval Nestability. The top border was made with the SU eyelet border punch and the ribbon is from JoAnn's. Those hearts aren't as crooked as they look in the picture!

My Pink Stamper 5 Million Hits Challenge #1
My Pink Stamper has reached 5 million hits (I can't even imagine) and to celebrate she is doing challenges and give aways on her blog today. http://www.mypinkstamper.com/
The first challenge was to make something with a bird on it. Right up my alley, since my new favorite cart is 3 Birds on Parade!
The image was cut at 3 3/4. The sentiment is from MPS Spooky Puns set. The witch hat is from Studio G and heat embossed with Clear tops Black Gems embossing powder. The top paper is from the DCWV Midnight Spell Solid Stack and finished with an MS Drippy Goo punch. The black ribbon is from WM.

Baby Girl Shape Book
I made this as a shower gift for one of my daughter's friends. I really like making these, have another in the works for a boy. I used Sweet Treats for the flower, Cherry Limade for the font and Live Simply for the butterfly. Most of the inside images are from Sugar and Spice. The paper is from DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack. Unfortunately the pictures are not great, I had already wrapped it before I remembered to take them.
I used Fun Flock on the bunny and lamb and the little rhinestones are from Imaginesce.
The frames on these pages are from Live Simply. Sweet Dreams is from Create a Critter. Stickles and more bling used here too.
This frame is from Toy Story.
Last page and probably my favorite. All images here are from Old West. Added some Stickles and some little pearls to make sure it was girly enough!
I know this is a long post. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Happy Fall!

Halloween Card and a Christmas Card Too
The first is an easel card I made with my recently purchased Stampin Up set "Greeting Card Kids". This set is adorable! The image was colored with Copic markers. The frame is from the Cricut Happy Hauntings cartridge and is actually supposed to be a frame, but I just used the front portions for the card. The paper is Recollections and the sentiment is from The Paper Studio.
For this card I used my new favorite, 3Birds On Parade.
The patterned paper is from K& Co, Peppermint Twist Pad. The shiny paper is MS and is embossed with the new Sizzix Stripes and Scallops embossing folder. The little bird was cut from scraps and some doodling was added with a white Ultimate Gel pen. The light bulbs were cut in white then colored with MS glitter markers. The sentiment is Studio G and the tag was made with classic and scallop circle Nestabilities.
I've been taking my pictures using a new photo box I ordered from OBN. I'm still working on getting better photos, but I think they are improved using this box. Its a 16" square, collapsible, came with 2 lights and 4 different colored backdrops. It was only $49 and I think that's a pretty good deal, so I thought I'd pass that info along.

Hope that link works.
As always, thanks for stopping by.
